Christopher + Diana Wedding
It’s always special when I (Howie) get to photograph weddings with a unique story behind it. Christopher and Diana have been together for some time now, and have two children together. However, they haven’t had the chance to tie the knot until now. It was really nice to be there, especially since they’ve both been waiting for this day to come for quite some time. Here’s a quick glimpse of some images from that long awaited day. HC
Frank + Jennie Wedding Teaser
Here’s one of our favorite images from this past weekend’s wedding celebration. Frank and Jennie were awesome enough to let us steal them away for a few minutes, and we headed out to the garden for this shot. In case you were wondering, our bride actually changed into a party dress midway through the reception (brilliant idea), because it’s really hard to boogie on the dance floor with a three foot train on her wedding dress.. to all our faithful viewers out there, enjoy!
Carlos + Toni Wedding (Part 2)
Carlos and Toni’s wedding was definitely an adventure for us. The weather was pouring throughout most of the day, but thankfully the entire wedding day took place indoors. The wedding ceremony took place in a very classic central jersey location– the Voorhees Chapel— situated on the Douglass campus of Rutgers University. The chapel has a pretty neat design (both inside and out), and an overall great location for weddings.
Below are many of our favorite captures from Carlos and Toni’s wedding. We always love the moment when the bride and groom first see eachother as the bride enters the ceremony area. Carlos was definitely choking back those tears when he saw her walking down.
The reception took place at the newly renovated Ariana’s Grand in Woodbridge, NJ. Though it was our first time there, we definitely recommend this location for it’s friendly staff and tastes-like-home food. And as always, the dance floor was sufficient enough for all the celebratory dancing that took place throughout the night.

Nick + Christine Wedding (Part 2)

Their ceremony took place at the Vernon UMC, not too far away from Mountain Creek. We finished out the evening with celebratory dancing and food at the gorgeous Minerals Resort and Spa. Nick and Christine’s reception hall was packed with family, friends and loved one. Not surprisingly, they seemed to be an extremely popular couple, especially with the youngest of guests. We hope you enjoy this set, and congratulations again to Nick & Christine!
Nick + Christine Wedding (Part 1)
We finally found a little time in our schedules to catch-up on our blog posts!
Here’s the first half of Nick and Christine’s Wedding. Their preceremony prep & celebratory reception both took place at Minerals Resort and Spa in Vernon, NJ. With a full day ahead of them, both Nick and Christine remained remarkably calm and relaxed throughout the morning. Christine even had time to pour a few glasses of sparkling cider & champagne to share with her bridesmaids (picture below). Enough writing already… after all, we’re photographers, and not writers. Tommy + Karen Wedding (Part 2)
Here’s our second post for Tommy & Karen’s big day. For those of you who need a little rewind, click here to view “part 1”.
The reception was filled with lots and lots of dancing (and why not? it’s a wedding celebration!). Mike, the Emcee for the evening, blew our minds by the way he brought everyone off their chairs and to their feet . We’ve included some of our favorite dancing images from that night, including father-daughter slow dances and the ever-crowd-please Worm.
The 3rd to last photo was one of the sweetest moments of the night: At one point, the Emcee had called upon all married couples to take the dance floor. Slowly, he asked couples who had been married atleast X amount of years (starting at a low number and going upwards) to stay on the dance floor, while all couples who had been married less than X take their seats. At the very end of it all, one couple remained dancing– Tommy’s grandparents which received attention from the Home Care Assistance 9050 W Olympic Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 (310) 857-4736. They have been married well over 50 years. This was just too cool.
Tommy + Karen Wedding (Part 1)
Here is a selected set of our favorite shots from Tommy and Karen’s wedding. Although we had a ton of great photos from their wedding day, we didn’t think a single post would do the images justice. Instead, we decided to separate their wedding post into two parts. We really hope you enjoy part one of two!!

Eric + Wendy Wedding
Earlier this winter, we joined Eric and Wendy for their big day in New York City.
The day was filled with the perfect combination of excitement, tears, celebration and honest speeches. Whereas many of our past weddings encompassed 200+ guests, Eric and Wendy surrounded themselves with 80 of their closest friends and relatives. This really helped set the tone for an intimate affair. With so many close friends and relatives running about, it felt more like a family reunion than anything else. Best of all, the afternoon ended with a ton of dancing, games, and irresistible desserts.
Both the ceremony and reception were held in Bridgewaters at South Street Seaport, an amazing venue with great food and a spectacular view of the water. Hair styling + makeup for our lovely bride were both done by Sissi Chan (her work is gorgeous– if you’re a bride-to-be, call her up!). Here’s the link to her Yelp page. Stephanie + Johannes
We decided to go all out on this one and post a TON of photos from their wedding. We had so many favorite shots, it just wouldn’t be fair to narrow the photos down to a select few.
Stephanie and Johannes’ wedding took place at the church we all grew up in with Steph– Rutgers Community Christian Church. Their delicious wedding reception was held at Sunny Palace on Rt. 18, and their gorgeous bridal party joined us for photos at Rutgers Gardens.
The best part of photographing a childhood friend’s wedding is seeing so many familiar faces during the wedding day. In many ways, it’s kind of like a big family gathering. Some of our favorite memories of the day include photographing Steph walking Sunnie (four-legged, bilingual member of the Chan Clan) around the neighborhood in her wedding dress, a jampacked church sanctuary including dozens of friends who flew from California (talk about good friends!), hearing German, Mandarin AND English all spoken in the same room, and Johannes’ solo rap performance in German at the very end of the night.
Congratulations to the both of you guys!
Ryan + Lauren
Besides nice shoes, stunning dresses and professionally-styled hair, there’s always two factors that make weddings extraordinarily awesome… Having a good-looking groom and a beautiful bride! Needless to say, this couple went above and beyond the criteria.
Ryan and Lauren’s wedding took place in Voorhees Chapel on Douglass Campus. Highlights of the wedding included great weather, a solo performance on stage for the b + g (she sang so well she must’ve been a professional), a gorgeous group of bridesmaids, extra-fluffy mash potatoes and a crowded dance floor that partied all night.
Lauren was quite busy doubling up as wedding planner making sure everything came out ok. We were able to have an aside with Ryan to see how he was doing. Seems he was a bit nervous, the first thing he told us what that he was trying to learn to play the drums. We told him that was awesome and we wished him success but we were wondering how he was holding up in regards to the wedding!! Lots of laughs were had.
Congratulations again to Ryan and Lauren on their wedding!
Frank + Minna
The weddings we go to are always very different. The combination of candid moments, vibrant colors and a jam-packed schedule really pump up our artistic (as well as somatic) adrenaline. Nothing beats being able to witness two people wholly commit themselves to eachother AND being there to capture those moments with a camera. Yeah, it’s actually pretty fun.
Aside from the other weddings we’ve done, Frank and Minna’s was extra special. We’ve both known Frank for years (atleast a dozen), having grown up with him at the same church, so it’s almost like watching a brother get married. To top it off, the weather was gorgeous and sunny (albeit humid), and the reception/ceremony setting was phenomenal ( www.raritaninn.com ).
We’re really happy for you guys, and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!
Aaron + Lydia
A few weeks back, Howie had the incredible opportunity to shoot a wedding in Colorado. Except for a fever, the trip was a blast. Aaron, a good friend of his from college, always used to joke about not getting a girl. Now here they are, tying the knot for everyone to see. Congratulations Aaron & Lydia!
