Derrick + Alisa’s Wedding
A few weeks back, we were fortunate enough to joined Derrick + Alisa in celebrating their wedding nuptials. With a packed schedule, we sure were glad that both the ceremony and the reception took place at the same location- the recently renovated Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Woodbridge, NJ… and believe us, the renovation was worth every cent. Honestly, we could have spent an entire weekend shooting inside this venue, as the brilliant color palettes & funky-modern furniture made for some great photo opportunities.
Their entire wedding day went smoothly- although a few things ran a bit overtime (as is expected with every wedding), we had enough time to accomplish all that was planned. One of the most exciting moments for us was the “first look” between Derrick and Alisa. We were thankful to have found a cool little hallway for their first look, and admittedly got a little emotional during the very moment their eyes lit up when they first saw each other. Our other favorite moments include Derrick’s first dance with his mom (no need to explain; just scroll down and see for yourselves), as well as Alisa’s reaction to getting caked by her new husband.
Last but not least, a huge shoutout to our friends at UltraX DJs for a phenomenal job at the reception. Never before have we seen an entertainment team bring every single wedding guest onto the dance floor. We highly recommend them, and would love to see them at another wedding in the future.
